首先，對自己說聲遲來的「46 歲生日快樂」。

1978 年，鈴木敏夫在毫無準備的情況下，被當時與他共事的尾形英夫指派為專門報導動畫、漫畫消息的雜誌《Animage》的編輯。鈴木敏夫接手後，首次採訪的對象便是高畑勳與宮崎駿。1985 年，他與動畫導演宮崎駿、高畑勳，以及德間書店的社長德間康快共同創辦了吉卜力工作室。隨後，我們看到了《龍貓》、《魔法公主》、《神隱少女》以及《霍爾的移動城堡》等作品的誕生。值得一提的是，創辦工作室時，鈴木敏夫、宮崎駿、高畑勳的年齡分別是 37 歲、44 歲和 50 歲。

另一方面，來自英國倫敦、被譽為當代最傑出演員之一，同時也是影壇永遠的女王——海倫·米蘭 (Helen Mirren)，曾經說過一句意味深長的話：

「人生只有兩個選擇：早逝或者變老，除此之外，沒有其他可能。在 25 歲時，覺得像詹姆斯·狄恩那樣英年早逝或許有點酷，也有些浪漫。但後來你會發現，生活太有趣了，不值得那麼做。」

“You only have two options in life: Die young or get old. There is nothing else. The idea of dying young when you’re 25 is kind of cool — a bit romantic, like James Dean. But then you realize that life is too much fun to do that.”

生命是有限的，大約只有短短的四千個禮拜。在這段有限的旅程中，有太多體驗、樂趣、挑戰以及有意義的事等著我們去發掘。然而，時間有限，並非每一件事都能親身經歷。既然如此，透過那些經過精心製作的電影來認識這個世界，未嘗不是一種選擇。

於是，在今年生日前，我啟動了一個小計畫：觀賞好萊塢男星們在 46 歲時的代表作品。

這項計畫也有一些具體條件：

  • 男星的名單是根據印象深刻或隨機想到的名字。
  • 作品限定於電影。
  • 通過 IMDb 搜尋他們的作品。
  • 選取他們 46 歲時 IMDb 評分最高的作品。
  • 若 46 歲當年無作品，則往前或往後選擇。

最終，這便形成了一份 100 部電影的清單。
